The Qin Within

A qin (an ancient Chinese musical instrument)need not be played for its music to exist.

“Qin Xin” speaks of an inner heart attuned to quietness, harmony, and the subtle music of life. In this work, the weight and stillness of “Qin” open into the flowing, outward-reaching gesture of “Xin”—the heart.

The music is not outside us.

Sometimes, it is simply waiting to be heard within.
